Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya
Born in an educated orthodox Hindu family at Prayag (Allahabad) in 1861, Madan Mohan Malaviya has been recognized as an outstanding and noble son of India.
His multifaceted personality made him, at the same time, a great patriot, an educationist with a vision, a social reformer, an ardent journalist, reluctant but effective lawyer, a successful parliamentarian and an outstanding statesman.

Achievements
The idea of a Society of the Indian ceramists was first conceived by late Sirdar Krishen Singh in the year 1921. Subsequently, late T. W. Talwalkar, who, on his return to India at the end of 1927, having very much impressed with the activities of the American Ceramic Society, felt the need for a similar kind of Society in the country....
Member's Achievement
The European Ceramic Society (ECerS) has bestowed upon Professor Ravi Kumar, Professor, Indian Institute of Technology-Madras, Chennai, the esteemed title of 'HONORARY FELLOW OF THE EUROPEAN CERAMIC SOCIETY' in recognition of his outstanding achievements and contributions to the field of ceramics.
Professor Ravi Kumar received this prestigious honor from the President of ECerS during the XIXth Conference of The European Ceramic Society, held from August 31 to September 4, 2025, at the International Congress Center in Dresden, Germany. He was conferred this distinction alongside Professor Raj Bordia from Clemson University, USA.
