AWARDS

The IncerS bestows various awards restricted to Indian National to commemorate some stalwarts in the relevant fields.

A. For best published paper / technology developed :
(I) Malaviya Award (annual) for Ceramic Science and Technology
(II) Deokaran Award (annual) in alternate year for Glass and Refractories
(III) Ganpule Award (in alternate year) for Whiteware and Technical
Ceramics

B. For outstanding contributions :
(I) D. N. Agrawal Award (annual) in Science and Technology of Ceramics
(II) Refractory Technologist Award (annual) in the field of Refractories
(III) Dr R. L. Thakur Memorial Award (annual) in Ceramics or Materials Science or Materials Engineering (restricted to young scientists only — Indian National living in India or abroad <35 years).
(III) Prof Sasadhar Ray Memorial Award (annual) for Industrial Excellence

C. Best Chapter Award (annual) :
— Instituted in memory of late Sirdar Krishen Singh, Inaugural Chairman, and late T. W. Talwalkar, Inaugural Secretary, for cognizable performance by the Chapters towards upholding the objectives of the Society.
 

D. Students’ Award (annual) :
Introduced for best oral presentation, especially for the Students (restricted to B. Tech. and M. Tech. only), with a view to encourage their participation in Oral Presentation of papers during the Annual Session of the Society.
